Ingredients

  • 250 Grams Nian Gao (Chinese New Year Cake)
  • 1/4 Cup NESTLÉ® NESTUM Original
  • 1/4 Cup Shredded Coconut
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Cooking Oil for Greasing Plate

Step 01.

Mix together NESTLÉ® NESTUM Original, shredded coconut and salt in a deep plate. Set aside.

Step 02.

5 min

Cut nian gao into thin slices, about 5cm in length. Then, place them onto an oiled heat-proof plate.

Step 03.

10 min

Place plate of nian gao into a steamer. Steam over medium heat for 10 minutes.

Step 04.

2 min

When done, remove nian gao from steamer. Use 2 teaspoon to lift a piece of sticky nian gao.

Step 05.

6 min

Roll sticky nian gao in the NESTLÉ® NESTUM Original mixture until well coated. Repeat the process with all sticky nian gao pieces.

Step 06.

2 min

Serve immediately as nian gao harder to chew once it gets cold.
